March - April News 2009
We are very proud of the progress and dedication we see in each student.
We always miss the students who are absent.  You are more than welcome to attend a make-up class but keep in mind other classes are not doing your same recital choreography.

Costumes are arriving and all costumes will be sent home the week of April 27th
In order for students to receive costumes all tuition fees and costume fees must be paid in full.
Costumes which have been back-ordered will arrive mid May.
Ballet students will wear the same pink tights and shoes they wear in class.
No need to purchase new tights and shoes if they are in good shape.
Some Tap students will wear tan tights and Jazz/hip-hop students will have extra accessories to purchase to go along with the costume.  An accessory list will be sent home after spring break.

Picture Days - Sign up in lobby.  For your convenience you may attend the studio of your choice.  Friday May 8th McDonough Studio 3 p.m. - 8:30 p.m..  Saturday May 9th Ellenwood Studio 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.. If your costume is back-ordered we will make arrangements for you to borrow a costume.  All students photos will appear in our lobby display board.  The picture packages start at $34.00.

Recital Tickets will be available on picture day.

EACH FAMILY will receive two comp tickets to be used for the parents of the dancers.  This comp ticket will allow parents to see all performances.  Ticket price:$7.00 (includes children, seniors and adults) Each performance will require a separate ticket.  Example:  If you have a family member that plans to attend the "Princess Recital" and "Candyland" and "Decades" three separate tickets will be necessary.
Ticket sales help us to offset the very high cost of the theater rental.

Recital and Dress Rehearsal Dates at the Henry County Performing Arts Center
Saturday May 23rd Memorial Day Weekend
Princess Recital includes pre-ballet classes for ages 3-4
Princess Dress rehearsal 10 a.m. - 11 a.m.,  Princes Recital 11:30 - 12:30 p.m.

Saturday May 23rd Dress Rehearsal 1:00 - 9:00 p.m. after the Princess Recital
The dress rehearsal schedule will be sent home after spring break.
Saturday May 30 Dress Rehearsal and performance
Some classes will have dress rehearsal before the performance on May 30th.
A specific dress rehearsal schedule will be sent home after spring break.

Performance times on May 30th
"Candyland' Ballet 3:00-4:00 p.m.  "Dancin' in the Decades" Tap/Jazz 4:30 - 5:30 p.m.
"Candyland" Ballet 6:00-7:00 p.m. "Dancin' in the Decades" Tap/Jazz 7:30 - 8:30 p.m.
All ballet students ages 5-up will perform at 3:00p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
All Tap and jazz students will perform at 4:30 and 7:30 p.m.

Spring Break Closed for classes April 6th - 10th
Open on Memorial Day Monday May 25th
All Monday classes will be held at the regular time on Memorial Day Monday May 25th.  Please let your teacher know if you will be absent the last Monday of class.

Piano and Violin Recital will be held Sunday April 19th at 2:00 p.m. at North Henry Baptist Church on Flat Rock Road in Stockbridge.  You are invited to attend this wonderful afternoon of rhythms presented by our talented musicians.
